Read More >> Read more Authorcenter_img Millicom struck an agreement to sell its operations in Chad to Morocco-based Maroc Telecom, as part of an ongoing strategy to exit Africa and focus on its Latin American operations.In a statement, Millicom said the deal was subject to approval from the Chadian authorities. Financial details were not disclosed, while Millicom added the transaction “is not expected to have a material impact on the group”.The sale in Chad follow recent divestments in Rwanda and Senegal, as part of the company’s strategy to reduce its exposure in Africa in favour of increased focus in Latin America. It now operates in one African market, Tanzania.For Maroc, the acquisition boosts its presence in the African region, where it also operates in Niger and Central African Republic.In a separate statement, Millicom also announced a fundraising plan to help finance its recently announced $1.7 billion acquisitions of Telefonica operations in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Sigur Rós To Appear in Game of Thrones Season 4

first_imgSigur Rós appeared on an episode of The Simpsons last year, and they will follow up that appearance with one on the HBO fantasy hit (spawned from the epic novels written by George R.R. Martin), Game of Thrones. This isn’t a first for the show, as showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are both fans of the band, and have enlisted The National and The Hold Steady to perform songs from the saga, which have been used on soundtracks. Members of Snow Patrol and Coldplay have also appeared on the show in the past.No one knows the capacity in which the band will appear, but band members Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason they are currently filming their parts in Croatia, which may be used to film scenes for Kings Landing, the place in which House Baratheon rules.Listen to Sigur Rós perform The Simpsons theme song:[via EW.com]last_img read more
