A Chinese exhibition will also be held at the hotel. Within the 100 square meter exhibition hall, 15 booths were set up showcasing North Korean items and 5 Chinese booths. Participants of this event includes North Korean Kangsung Trade, the No. 28 Trading House and Chosun Seungri Cooperative Company. However, the event was not well publicized and there were many North Korean, Chinese traders in Dandong who did not know the location of the exhibition. Even the director of the exhibition seemed rather inactive. There were not many visitors to be seen at the exhibition. Excluding the event coordinators and staff, there were no more than 10 visitors to the exhibition. Furthermore, the coordinators hadn’t organized any translators for consultations and consequently, visitors seemed to wander the exhibition hall absent-mindedly. You can only enter the exhibition hall if you have an invitation or pay 100 Yuan. In frank, it seems that the motive of the exhibition was to sell entry tickets to visitors. On the whole, the items on display in the showroom were health products, alcohol, agricultural products, gold and silver rings, cosmetics, red pepper paste, clothing, shoes, paint for cars, 4-5 different minerals and handicrafts.
